Dean of Instruction and Workforce Development

Responsibilities:
Overall vision, management, leadership, and oversight of curriculum and instruction of the divisions of Business and Applied Technology, Health Sciences and Workforce Development.  Manage and participate in the development and implementation of strategic goals, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned programs; recommend and administer policies and procedures.  Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures; recommend, within policy, appropriate service and staffing levels; and coordinate class scheduling with Division Chairs. Participate in the selection process for employees; train, motivate and evaluate faculty and staff; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to improve performance.  Help resolve complex human resource issues. Provide support to Division Chairs and faculty members with problem-solving and achieving their goals.  Develop new programs utilizing research methodologies and stakeholder feedback, including facilitation and support of advisory committees. Plan, direct, coordinate, and review initiatives for educational services; assign work activities, projects and programs; review and evaluate outputs. 

Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in related field; doctorate degree preferred with course work in education or related field. Minimum of five years of increasingly-responsible experience managing college faculty and developing and managing programs as a college dean or division chair responsible for credit-bearing career and technical education programs. Demonstrated college teaching experience required.  Experience developing noncredit-bearing training programs for business and industry partners and community college experience preferred.

Salary:
Commensurate.
