Instructional Technology Systems Specialist

Works as liaison to students, staff, faculty, and other academic disciplines through oversight and support of specialized technology and the enhancement of hardware and software necessary to incorporate advanced technology into the curriculum.  Creation and development of innovative solutions to advance teaching, curriculum and research opportunities through the use of advanced technology.  Lead in evaluation and development of new systems, applications, software conversions and upgrades and creates innovative solutions to forward the teaching and research through identifying opportunities for technology improvement and curriculum integration.  Perform service desk and technician related duties as a level 1 desktop support person.  Answering the support line, monitoring the support mailbox, servicing new request tickets, purchasing, and other operational tasks. 

Two years of increasingly responsible experience in computer set-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting including experience working with individuals or small groups in a teaching capacity.  Equivalent to an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer technology or a related field or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the required duties.
