    April is Community College Awareness Month, and Western Nebraska Community College is celebrating by once again offering the SummerFreeScholarship program.  It's designed to allow students the opportunity to take up to two summer classes for free.     Western Nebraska Community College student Janie McAmis of Belle Fourche, South Dakota is Nebraska's 2017 Coca-Cola New Century Scholar after posting the state's top score among nominees to the All-USA Community College Academic Team. This is the third year in a row that a student from WNCC has garnered top honors for Nebraska.     The theatre department at Western Nebraska Community College presents "All in the Timing" by David Ives and directed by theatre major Pasiensia Marez. Performances are scheduled for April 28 and 29 at 7:30 p.m. and April 30 at 2 p.m. in the WNCC Little Theatre located on the Scottsbluff campus.   Tickets are $5 for the community and free for WNCC students, faculty, and staff with an ID.     Western Nebraska Community College (WNCC) is hosting the national 2017 College Powerline Rodeo April 6 - 7 at the Powerline Lab on the Alliance campus and the John N. Harms Center on the Scottsbluff campus.   College lineman teams from across the country compete in three physical events as well as a written exam.
