The local and regional healthcare industry is in need of paramedics. If you are currently a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician, a career as a Paramedic could be for you!
The paramedic program provides information and skill training to initiate and maintain treatment for medical, trauma, and cardiac emergencies. The paramedic is the highest level of emergency responder training. WNCC is in the process of building a 1-year college certificate to become a Paramedic.
Graduates will be prepared to deliver pre-hospital emergency care to patients. Students who successfully complete course requirements are allowed to participate in the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians cognitive and psychomotor examinations to become a Nationally Registered Paramedic.
WNCC hopes to begin its first Paramedic cohort by fall of 2017.
