Program Overview

WNCC offers several options for a degree in Physical Education, allowing you to specialize in either Coaching or Sports Administration. The Associate in Applied Science degree in Physical Education/ Coaching is designed for students who wish to follow a basic program of study with an emphasis in coaching. It permits the student to explore various fields of coaching that may lead to a major in a specialized emphasis of coaching. Its purpose is to provide a well-rounded education but is not intended to be a transfer program.

The purpose of the Associate of Science degree in Physical Education/Coaching is to provide a well-rounded education, so it may be useful to students seeking only an associate degree as well as students wishing to transfer to another institution but still needing a broad background of course work.

The Associate of Science degree in Physical Education/ Sports Administration is designed for a student who wishes to follow a program of study with an emphasis in sports administration. Its purpose is to provide a well-rounded education. It may be useful to students seeking only an associate degree as well as students who wish to transfer to another institution. Students can arrange internships with the Athletic Director at WNCC either here or at another institution.
