By providing on-campus meals and snacks to students, faculty, and staff, as well as offering catering services in a well-operated and professional facility, Western Nebraska Community College's Food Service department strives to promote good will and contribute to WNCC's atmosphere for student success.
John C. Bishop Dining Hall
The Bishop Dining Hall is a state-of-the-art kitchen facility located in Pioneer Hall. Meal plans for both Pioneer and Conestoga residence halls are 19 or 14 meals per week. For commuter students, a 10-meals per week option is available. The Bishop Dining Hall is an all-you-care-to-eat facility where you may come through the line as often as you like.
The Bishop Dining Hall offers varied cuisine and top quality service with an extensive menu including low fat and vegetarian choices. Our hot breakfast features potato, egg and protein or you can treat yourself to our cereal bar and make your own waffles. Or if you prefer, let one of our servers whip up a fresh omelet of your choice. Our dining hall offers a wide variety of made-from-scratch entrees. We use only the finest ingredients and offer two entrees for both lunch and dinner. We also have an outstanding salad bar.
Our dining hall regularly features special theme events and dinners such as Soul Food Night, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, welcome back and end–of-year barbecues. We also offer seafood choices during Lent.
WNCC Food Service offers a declining balance for anyone not on a meal plan. When funds are applied, you automatically receive a 10% bonus to your account.
Cougar Den Snack Bar
The Cougar Den Snack Bar is located on the ground floor of the main building and is available to students, faculty and staff weekdays.
The menu consists of sandwiches, pizza, soda, chips, candy and other grab-and-go items. In addition, homemade specials are featured daily.
WNCC Food Service is committed to providing quality food and service for your event. From morning breakfast buffets to casual dining and elegant hors d’oeuvres, our catering menu is filled with selections to meet your needs.
The WNCC Catering Service menu represents only a starting point; we will assists with planning your event and offer creative menus, elegant presentations and thoughtful service to provide guests with a pleasant experience. .
Sidney and Alliance Campuses
The Sidney and Alliance campuses have no dining facilities or on-campus food service. These campuses do house multiple vending machines, providing an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to choose from variety of snacks and beverages that are available for purchase.
