WNCC Foundation
Dear Friends,
As President of the Western Nebraska Community College Foundation, I welcome you to our website and introduce you to the activities and the many opportunities available through our organization.
Winston Churchill said, "We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give." Our foundation and students benefit from the kindness of philanthropic individuals, corporations and organizations; many of these students would not otherwise be able to pursue their dreams of higher education were in not for the generous support of our local community members like you.
Please consider a gift to support scholarships for students in need. Of the top five reasons students cite for dropping out of college, four are financial. This makes the Foundation’s work building scholarships especially urgent. Because many of our students are working a full-time job or several part-time jobs - as well as balancing family, community, volunteer and personal commitments - scholarships make a tremendous difference in their ability to attend college.
Perhaps you attended WNCC, Scottsbluff Junior College, or another community college. You understand the important stepping stone the programs, faculty, and staff provide to students at the community college level. We offer several opportunities to support specific programs at WNCC, including specific academic programs, programs that support veterans, assisting single parents, supporting your favorite athletics team, recognizing and sponsoring our award-winning vocal music department, helping to maintain and enhance facilities at any of our three campuses, and many more. Whatever part of WNCC has touched your life, we can provide you the avenue to give back to those in need of the same chance.
Your tax-deductible gift can make a significant difference in the ability of our students to succeed. The WNCC Foundation offers several giving options to promote higher education, quality of life and workforce development in Western Nebraska.
The Foundation... "Success starts with a strong foundation."
Sincerely,
Judy Chaloupka

I found WNCC after an extensive search. I heard about the fabulous nursing program, the tuition was unbeatable, and I knew I wanted to move out west. I came here in 2013 after living in and briefly attending college in Michigan. The skills I’m earning at WNCC are preparing me not only to fulfill my duties as a nurse, but also display patience, stay calm, and help as many people as I can even in difficult situations. Every professor and staff member I’ve interacted with here have been wonderful. They’ve helped me to see that for every student – no matter what they’re facing or going through – can achieve their dreams.
This scholarship means everything to me. It will help with books, tuition, and every day expenses. I am so grateful for this help because it is one more step toward reaching the dream I’ve always had. I can’t believe the heart of donors who want to see students succeed and just their willingness to give. It is an honor for me to receive this scholarship.
