Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Instructor/Program Director

Western Nebraska Community College is currently accepting applications for a full time Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Instructor/Program Director at the Scottsbluff Campus.

This faculty position will instruct in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) training program within the college; coordinate, manage, supervise, and perform a variety of technical tasks relative to the assigned area of responsibility; and monitor and assure program compliance with laws, rules and regulations related to provision of the college’s EMS training program and related services as provided through the Nebraska’s Department of Health and Human Services and the Committee on Accreditation for Educational Programs for Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP). 

Four years of increasingly responsible experience in EMS, including one year of supervisory or lead responsibility.  Appropriate medical or allied health education, training, and experience; field experience in the delivery of out-of-hospital emergency care; and knowledge of current national curricula, national accreditation, national registration, and the requirements for state certification or licensure.  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, master’s degree or the willingness to work toward a master’s degree preferred. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Paramedic license through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services required.
