Teaching, Learning and Assessment Director

Western Nebraska Community College is currently accepting applications for the position of Teaching, Learning and Assessment Director based out of our Scottsbluff, Nebraska Campus.

Provide leadership, vision and continuous planning for all activities and operations related to teaching, learning, and institutional assessment. The Director reports within the Educational Services Division and collaborates with other stakeholders, including Information Technology, Institutional Effectiveness, the College deans, Division Chairs, faculty members, and other college departments in matters pertaining to curricular development, instructional guidelines and procedures, and assessment. 

In addition, the Director will provide campus-wide administrative leadership in the development and operation of robust and effective academic assessment strategies and systems that are compliant with college accreditors and State standards. The role requires detail-orientation with strong analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative), exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

Equivalent to a master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in educational technology, teaching and learning, instructional design, or a related field.  Three years of increasingly responsible experience in higher education instructional environments including two years of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
